Gardening Needed To Be Easier
The homeowners enjoyed growing vegetables and flowers, but conventional in-ground planting required too much bending and made day-to-day garden care much harder than it needed to be.

Aging Exposed Gas Line
An older flexible gas line along the house wall disrupted the appearance of the property and raised concerns about aging materials and long-term safety.

Animal Intrusion And Hidden Moisture
The damp space below the old deck had turned into a nesting area for animals, which added sanitation concerns and reinforced the need for a more durable, better-planned backyard structure.

Unsafe Existing Deck
The old wood deck showed serious deterioration and posed a growing collapse risk, making replacement a structural and safety priority rather than just an aesthetic one.

Drainage And Minor Settlement
The existing grade was too flat to move rainwater away efficiently, and long-term moisture beneath the deck had already begun contributing to minor settlement near the foundation area.

Custom Raised Garden Beds
Instead of keeping the garden at ground level, we designed and built raised planter beds using durable materials. This improved the overall look of the backyard, helped manage soil more effectively, and made planting, watering, and harvesting much easier for the homeowners.

Safer Utility Planning
To improve both safety and appearance, the outdated exposed gas line condition was addressed through a more appropriate underground routing approach coordinated with licensed professionals. We also prepared underground electrical access and weather-protected outlets to support future lighting or equipment needs in the yard.

Grading, Cleanup, And Waterproofing Awareness
We removed the deteriorated deck materials, cleared out debris and nesting areas below, and reworked the grading so surface water could move away from the house more effectively. This addressed one of the root causes behind the moisture and settlement concerns.

With stronger preparation below the surface and a more deliberate site plan, the backyard now has a much better chance of performing well without the same cycle of avoidable repair issues.

Correcting drainage conditions and improving the utility setup helped reduce the risks associated with water near the foundation and aging exposed service lines.
